Good Game, Well Played!

Four years in high school, I have learned a lot. I learned through experiences, books, discussions or even discoveries. Before I exit Ilocos Sur National High School, I can say that I’m ready to face the next journey of my life because I am built by my teachers. I am very glad because I learned new things in ICT, I learned “Blogging” and for me this is the basic way on how you can express your feelings, ideas and opinions. Although I have a short knowledge on adobe photoshop, I learned more because of the lessons that my teacher shared to us and I’m very thankful to them.

For all the things that I have learned this year, the most important for me is TIME MANAGEMENT, on how I learned to budget my time for 4 years.

There are 35 days left before our graduation. I’m happy because after all my sacrifices I can already say that it’s all worth it. And I’m taking the next journey in my life as a student. I’m feeling sad because I will be leaving this school where there are lots of memories with my classmates, friends, happy and embarrassing moments in high school life. It’s hard to leave those but we should move on and face the next chapter in our life. Leaving doesn’t mean forgetting.

Never Stop Dreaming

“A dream can be the highest point of a life.” - Ben Okri

I myself agree that the best thing for one would be to believe in oneself and concentrate on achieving priority goals. I hate to say it, but it's all we can do. Patience is the most important thing. Education is the key to success, might I say.

I was impressed anew by the variety of dreams and goals life could offer. Serving was the one small dream of my one small life. The others thought I wanted to be a computer engineer, because I was influenced by technology since I was a kid. I'll be a guardian of the technology,' that's what I used to tell myself. But I never found the right words to express myself. I wasn't going to let it beat me. I figured it'd be exceedingly pleasing to have more-than-one professional careers. I want to be a musician and a professional gamer at once. Wouldn't it be profound to be a gamer like Dendi? Or a drummer like Didi Negron? I have a number of dreams I would allow myself to pass, but this one? Yes, I wanted to put it into action, and of course, to have it achieved.

We have to go on unraveling the jumbled threads one at a time, without losing hope. I know it's going to be hard, but keep your hopes up.

It Will Never CHANGE, Me & You

Like death, change is inevitable. It is attached along with us as we live through the years.

When I think about change, I think twice. The first time, I try imagining possible changes to the world. It’s all in my head. I solidify what the change is and how I’m going to bring it into action. Sometimes, I even sketch it as a paragraph or a portrait. Once I’m done, I think about it again. Now I've got an outline of an impossible plan.

I stop to actually ‘perform’ the scenes I have molded from the crumpled ideas. I may end up at a bad atmosphere or a good one. Thinking as though the world is such a bad place, who wouldn't think twice on changing it? How nice if we could edit the whole world. If we could stop at a certain point and make changes. Though those are plain goals and imaginations, one may courageously stand up and start putting it into action. Like me, I'm just an introvert but with my own simple and silent ways I have been bringing out changes.

SURE! Ilocos Sur: Insights on the Kannawidan Festival 2K15

“Kan-na-wiii-daaaan”

Our province, Ilocos Sur, has different wonderful cultures and traditions that make us proud. But these traditions are useless if we do not show it to the world. Even our products have its uniqueness and cunningness. Different festivals of us promotes and exhibits these things and one of those festivals is the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival.

Kannawidan is a week-long festival that entertains both local and foreign tourists especially us, Ilocanos. This festival was launched in 2008 and now we will celebrate and experience the 7th chapter of it. Not only is the showcase of products and traditions but also different wonderful side-events are added in order for the celebration to have a near-perfect festival.

The preservation of our province’ rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions, and a showcase of different agriculture and industry products is a must for we, Ilocanos, must have a reason to be proud of. So let us step back to the past and enjoy every moment of it!

2nd to the Last: Blogging Reflection

Making your blog beautiful is hard.

In this grading, I discovered a lot of things in making a blog. I learned how to make it more beautiful. Also, making an HTML document was cool and F-U-N.

The challenge I encountered was on how to put different designs on my blog. Although I didn’t have the time to put one on my blog. Also, remembering the different tags in making an HMTL was hard.

By the help of Google, I learned how to put different types of designs. Cool aye? And by reviewing the tags everyday, I kind of memorized them by heart.

Moving on, I will really put designs on my blog. I will always review my lessons to have a good grade and I will make my blog posts more presentable. :)

2015 is REAL

It’s the New Year. I guess I should change a little bit something about me. Not all, just the bad attitudes I have. And yeah, I know, this is such a cliché for everyone. We say that it’s our New Year’s Resolution. We act nice. We do what is good. But that only lasts for about 2 weeks and then we go back to the old us. It is so hard to be nice and all and to not do something you have been doing for how many years. But that’s the challenge of our life. Try doing something that will be for your good.

The New Year is a time for us all to do what we have not done for the last year, so for this year, I will try to do the so called New Year’s resolution.

I will try to be a more studious person because I was a bit lazy to study for the past years, to be a more Godly person because I think I am such a sinful person, to be more kind and patient because sometimes I have a bad temper, to be more responsible person and to lessen my addiction to some games.

So that’s it. My New Year’s resolution. This will be the new me for this year and for the coming years. It takes time to change but it’s okay, cuz there’s always room for change.

HAPPY 2015TH YEAR!

So this is Christmas...

“We wish you a merry Christmas…”
The kids sing all around us, waiting for their “pamasko.”

Ah, the joy of Christmas. Christmas lights hanging as well as Christmas lanterns on every street you see. Children going to houses singing Christmas songs and of course, the food. Christmas really is a wonderful time of the year. But don’t you ever think about the essence of Christmas?

The essence of Christmas, for me, is giving. Giving to the homeless, the poor, and also to your enemy. Christmas is a time for forgiving. So start forgiving the ones who hurt you and leave all the bad stuff for the New Year is also a time for starting anew. Christmas is also the time to remember Jesus, His birth in the holy place of Bethlehem.

So now that we know the essence of Christmas, let’s all put it in action.

Merry Christmas!

The Ineradicable Changes: Climate Change

The glaciers melting down. Bushfires. And other different climate disasters.
These are some of the news we sometimes see in the television.

It’s a little bit saddening that these events are sometimes caused by us people. We whine about the hot or cold weather, instead of doing something about it. We don’t realize that what we are experiencing is what they call CLIMATE CHANGE.

What is Climate Change? Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions (Wikipedia).

If all the people would be disciplined and do what is right, we could have prevented the climate change. but alas! We now experience it and all we can do now is to not let it get worse. Let us all help to prevent the climate change.

TOGETHER, WE CAN ALL MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

Insights on the National Reading (English) Month Celebration 2k14

Outpouring the Hearts and Minds through ENGLISH Proficiency and Literacy

English is a language known worldwide. Teachers teach it worldwide. Many countries use it as their second language. Do you now know the importance of the English language?

What if you don’t know the English language? No proper communication can be made if you are put of the country. As I’ve said, English is used as the second language of many countries.

Many try hard in learning it because they know that it is useful. People sometimes consider you illiterate if you don’t know the English language.

If you know English, grammar is a must. People will laugh at you if you don’t know your grammar so we must study hard to know it and be part of the literate.

At first, it may seem like it’s hard but as the saying goes, ‘practice makes perfect’. Let us practice our English language and be good in speaking it.

Speak English, communicate effectively!

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Every people, big or small, intelligent or not, are EQUAL. We are all people and we all should have equal rights and opportunities.

What I mean by equal rights is that when you’re a famous someone, you don’t have the right to make fun of others. And just because you’re rich, you are going to bully those who are not. Hey, we are people and we get hurt. Just because you are one level ahead of us, you can do everything you want. Can’t we all have equal rights? That’s why we have the so called “Human Rights” for us all to have equal rights on everything. And so when we have equal rights, we should also have equal opportunities in everything. So always be fair.

Be equal
